Sandpoint, ID

We spent last weekend in Sandpoint, ID. We had a great time playing in the snow and riding snow mobiles. This is a picture of one of the trails we went on....soooo much fun! Thanks Uncle Larry and Aunt Marilyn for such a great time!

This is Marci and brother Matt getting ready to take off on the trail....

off we go....

Daddy taking Quinlin for a ride.

This is Sadie. She became Quinlin's best friend two seconds after Quinlin saw her and for the rest of the trip Sadie got NO PEACE!! Sadie was always cold so she had to have a blanket and Sadie LOVES her jewelery so Quinlin was kind enough to share hers. She is a beatiful dog and I think, secretly, she had as much fun with Quinlin as Quinlin had with her.

Ahh Choo!!!!

I've decided to forgo a picture today, because at this point, it might be over the top... but I don't know...maybe next time?

Max is sick (again) and I believe there is nothing like thick drippy green snot. And for poor little babies, it's especially horrible because they cannot yet blow. All they can do is live with stuffy, mucus filled sinuses, letting it slowly drip down their lip, waiting for some kind person (like momma) to come wipe it for them. But on occasion, they have a chance to get everything cleared as it all comes rushing out in one big glorious moment of an..... Ahhhhh Chooooo!

Obsession

Max and I share an obsession....it is the vacuum. I love to vacuum. It is my favorite household chore. To me, vacuuming makes me feel good. The laundry can be overflowing along with the dishes in the sink (not to mention Quinlin's room that is in a constant state of a tornado disaster)...but if I can vacuum...all is right with the world.

When Max was fist born...I used to hold him and vacuum....he would lay in my arm on his tummy and off we'd go. Now, at nine months, he wants to hug it and hold it. We play our own little game of tag. He must think it's the coolest thing in the world. I try to vacuum and he proceeds to chase it. It's quite a challenge to keep away (in a very small room) from a baby who seems to crawl at lightning speed. I vacuum a little here, then a little there, and eventually try to win the game by finishing without Max catching me. He's gotten pretty quick and today I had to cheat to win. He kept catching me so I would pick him and and set him on the other side of the room and do as much as I could before he flew across the room and back to me and the vacuum.

I must admit...after reading the Harris' obsession with cars (see Team Harris) the vacuum isn't nearly as cool... but in my little world, this is a daily occurrence that makes me laugh.

Where are the gates?

Max is on the move and we are desperate for gates! We have a large area between our living room and kitchen area. I've looked at every store, including pet stores, for a gate that would fit. It seemed my only option was to order gates on line...so now we wait.

Off we go...

So I guess I'm jumping on the blog bandwagon. Erik and I have become so addicted to checking out other blogs that we thought we'd add in our two cents. This will mainly be my thoughts, although I imagine Erik will pop in on occasion. It's great to re-connect with everyone we haven't seen in so long. So, off we go....

Erik and I have two kids...Quinlin 8, and Max 9 months... Here we are...
